Review: Adovia Dead Sea Bath Salts 100% Pure #deadseasalt

***Contains Affiliate Links***

I received a package of Adovia's Dead Sea Bath Salts in exchange for my honest review.  I don't take baths very often, mostly because I have two young kids, so trying to sneak away and enjoy a bath is next to impossible.  I did go away for the night with my fiance for "date night" and brought these bath salts with me, and they are WONDERFUL!

My skin was so silky soft after my bath it felt like I didn't need any moisturizer!  Of course I put some on anyway because it's winter AND I'm obsessed with Bath & Body Works lotions....but anyway -

The package itself is large (1.6 pounds!) so it will last a long time.  If you don't want to soak in the tub with these salts, you can make your own body scrub.  These salts provide relief from muscle aches and pains, psoriasis, eczema, and arthritis.  They contain over 26 minerals the body needs to promote rest and relaxation!

The salts themselves are white and bigger than your normal grain of table salt LOL, and you probably wouldn't want to eat these (or ingest them at all like those other people do with bath salts - YIKES!) They definitely do help you wind down after a long day, and I can see the health benefits if I did need them for muscle or joint pain.  I ended up giving the rest of my package to my mom because she suffers from arthritis, and she tells me how much she loves them and wants more!

You can check them out for yourself on Amazon or their website!

Review: Love Trap Ebook by Amnon Jackont #LoveTrap

Love Trap by Amnon Jackont
Released November 23, 2014
ASIN:  B00Q34AJVW
170 pages printed, Sold on Amazon Digital

Finding time to read is VERY difficult, especially now that I decided to blog and review products.  It took me a bit to get into this book, but I really wanted to read it because it sounded good from the description.  I received a digital copy of Love Trap in exchange for my review.

I love a good mystery, and even though this wasn't like a typical mystery I normally read, it was good enough to keep my interest.  The main character, Daphne, has had a tough run.  After spending some time in prison, she, her useless medical license, and her daughter try to start their lives over in Jerusalem, where they know nothing except the promise of new beginnings.  Things still are difficult for Daphne, but she soon realizes her placement in Jerusalem and her job as a humanitarian doctor are by no accident!  There are twists and turns, lies and promises, love and hate.  The author, Amnon Jackont, definitely knows how to write a good story and to keep you wanting more.  And even though I don't agree with everything Daphne did as a mother, I couldn't help but understand why she did some of the things she did.

I will definitely read more from Amnon Jackont!

Review: The Coverplug Paintable Outlet Cover #coverplug

I was given the chance to review the paintable coverplug and it couldn't have come at a better time! You see, my almost 2 year old loves to plug and unplug anything he can get his hands on!  As we all know, that is super dangerous, so I was very happy that this box came with 2 separate covers.

The package the Coverplug comes in
These can be painted or kept as is.  I am keeping them white for now because I only rent and am stuck with terrible shades on my walls... my landlord must've bought paint that was on sale because some of these colors are HORRENDOUS.  But anyway, each box comes with 2 Coverplugs, and they do and are exactly what you think - they cover plugs!

Even if you don't have (young) children these are useful in case you don't want outlets to be seen that are not in use.  These can make the room aesthetically pleasing, especially if you paint them to go with your color scheme!

The Coverplug in my bathroom

The Coverplug in my living room
These are sold by Coverplug, Inc. (www.coverplug.com), and can also be found on Amazon, Etsy, Sears, Safehome, etc... They are under $10, which I think is a great deal for safety and DIY home projects!

Review & Giveaway: Collage Blanket #collageblanket

***Contains affiliate links***

Finally!  What everyone has been waiting for!  The review & giveaway for the 50x60" fleece photo collage blanket!  First of all, I was so excited when I was approved to review this for free.  These blankets retail for $109.99!!

Here is my blanket:

I chose 9 pictures because I couldn't pick just one... I also thought the 9 looked good because the pictures were all still big enough and the blanket doesn't look too "busy".

As you can see the blanket is big (50x60" LOL).  It's made of a fleece material, so it's very, very comfy.  I won't be using mine as an actual blanket, though.  I'll be hanging it on my living room wall behind my couch.  If you choose to use it as a blanket, it will definitely keep you warm and it's big enough to cover your entire body!

This blanket isn't cheap - it retails for $109.99 plus shipping.  You have the option of choosing the color, if you want solid or prints, and of course you choose what pictures you want - up to 100.

Review: Coconut Colon Cleanse by Island Vibrance

***Contains affiliate links***

How can I review colon cleanse?  I mean, the name itself doesn't sound like something people normally talk about.  I know this is probably TMI, but I need a product like this.  Ever since I had my 3rd child and my thyroid started acting up, going to the bathroom just isn't easy for me.  I've tried everything, and usually, I have no success.  Even when I went on my crazy clean eating exercise diet - no success.

But anyway, the formula in these pills is designed to gently remove toxins and waste from the lower intestine, remove stress from the pancreas and burn more calories!  These pills are fairly big, and they're not gelcaps, so I have choked on them more than once.  You definitely need to drink A LOT of water (or whatever your drink of choice is).  I did notice I had to take them for about 2 days before anything happened, and when it finally did, it was at night when I was asleep.  I did feel somewhat crampy, but not terrible and I don't think it's enough to complain about.

These colon cleanse pills are made with coconut powder and contain lauric acid.  They are an antifungal, antiviral and antibiotic.

I think with extended use your body could really benefit from these.  My friend told me her father took them and after about a week he felt amazing and wasn't as bloated.  I am terrible at remembering to take my medicine, but I really need and want to put these back in my daily schedule.

I received them for free from Island Vibrance for my honest review.  I think you should check them out, too!  Click right here.

Review: Professional 12 Set Makeup Brush Kit (Petunia Skincare)

***Contains Affiliate Links***

Who wouldn't love receiving brand new makeup brushes for free?  Petunia Skincare sent me this fancy pack for my review.  I love these.  I love these so much that I barely use them because I don't want to ruin them!  They come in a super fancy travel pouch:

When you open the pouch, all of the beautiful brushes are neatly arranged in their own special pocket, and Petunia also gives you brush guards.  You put these on your brushes to keep them lasting longer!

This kit contains:
Powder brush
Blush brush
Foundation brush
Eyeshadow brush
Smudge brush
Fan brush
Concealer brush
Eyebrow blush
Eyeliner blush
Sponge applicator
Lip brush
Spoolie brush

In case you didn't know what each brush is used for, they come with an instruction manual! Have I mentioned I love this set?

Now to get into the specifics of this set:  they are made with a mixture of high quality pony hair, goat hair and synthetic hair.  Since they're made with a mixture of hair the brushes are very versatile and can be used with either liquid based makeup or powder.   How great to only need one set of brushes! Pigment doesn't cling to these hairs so you don't have to clean after each use!  Such a time saver.  The BEST part - these brushes don't need to be cleaned frequently (I'm terrible at cleaning my brushes). When these do need to be cleaned, just run them through warm water with a gentle shampoo, then air or blow dry.

I really am SO SO SO happy and excited that I was given the chance to review these.  You can check them out for yourself right here.

Review: 1.0mm Derma Roller, Eye Serum, and Anti-aging Serum (Petunia Skincare)

***Contains Affiliate Links***

Derma rolling.  Terrifying until you actually try it.  I mean, who wants to roll hundreds of needles into your skin?

I never even heard of derma rolling until I was offered one for free to review.  I started researching it, asked questions in my Facebook groups, and was intrigued.  I finally tried it, and I must say, it is fabulous! Yes my face hurt for a few minutes after I did it, but not terrible.  I couldn't even tell I rolled hundreds of needles into my skin the next day!  I used my serum right after, and my skin is so super soft.  I gave one of my extra derma rollers to my mom, and she uses it every other day and LOVES it. The instructions on this say use it every few weeks or so.  I think I'll start to use it at least once/week.

Derma rolling is supposed to help scarring, sagging skin, wrinkles, fine lines, cellulite, hyperpigmentation, etc... I think if you use it religiously enough with a good serum and moisturizer, this really will work.  The derma rollers come in different thickness...this is 1.0mm.

With this derma roller I also received an Anti-Aging Hyaluronic Acid and an Eye Serum.  I am an advocate of Hyaluronic Serum, and Petunia Skincare makes a GREAT one.

I just love how my skin feels now that I've been using it for almost 2 months.  My skintone is even, and looks brighter!  I also notice my eyes don't have dark circles around them anymore, but it's only been a few weeks.  I'm sure the bags will completely fade with continued use.  Plus my baby still doesn't sleep through the night... you would think by now he would - he's almost 2!!

Here are the Amazon links to check these out for yourself!  I definitely think it's worth a look!

Review: OZ Naturals Facial Toner Review

***This post contains affiliate links***

I love OZ Naturals.  Granted I never heard of OZ Naturals until I became a reviewer, but now that I know about them, I love them and will always keep them in stock.  the very first product I was given for free in exchange for my review is this Ocean Mineral Tonic.  This is a spray on toner that goes on after cleansing and before serum.  I love that this is a spray bottle so I don't have to fumble around looking for a cotton ball (if you saw my bathroom and my lack of organization you would know what I mean).

This Ocean Mineral Tonic (toner) is organic and contains witch hazel, glycolic acid, vitamin C and ocean minerals.  It literally has an ocean scent, and kinda smells/tastes salty.  Now of course you probably think it's over-drying because of the saltiness, but it actually calms and brightens unbalanced skin and diminishes fine lines and wrinkles.  It absorbs fairly quickly, but I leave my face somewhat damp and then apply my serum.  I've been using this Ocean Mineral Tonic religiously since mid-January 2015.  I've only used it after washing my face, but the bottle says you can use it throughout the day as a makeup refresher.  I think I'm going to try that out and see if I notice any difference.

I'm totally happy with this product.  I am now an advocate of using toners, serums, and moisturizers because I have seen such a difference in my tone and complexion.  I know, I know - I should have taken before pictures so I could show my progress, but I didn't think anything would come of this. Boo I was wrong.

OZ Naturals is definitely a brand looking into.  I know it's on the top of my favorite must haves list!! Check them out for yourself right here!

Perfectly Posh

Have you heard of Perfectly Posh?

It was new to me until I received a nice little package in the mail from Andrea Fleming, owner of Preppy Mom's Wanderings blog (click here), and sales consultant for Perfectly Posh.  She sent me samples of "The Stripper detox body mud," "Shine Bright Like a Diamond microderm scrub," "Mango Marshmallow Body Butter," and "The It Girl hand cream."  Oh, and the Perfectly Posh magazine.

Last night I used "Shine Bright Like a Diamond" on my face and "Mango Marshmallow" on my super dry back. Oh my goodness - this stuff is amazing!!!

The Shine Bright Like a Diamond has a thin, clear consistency with little beads of goodness. It feels fabulous when you scrub it on, and rinses clear off.  I hate when I use a cleanser and I feel grimy after.  This is absolute perfection.

The Mango Madness body butter is thick, but not over thick.  A little of this stuff goes a long way! My back was instantly moisturized (it was feeling itchy, and the itchiness vanished!)

I haven't had a chance to use The Stripper detox body mud or The It Girl hand cream, but both smell absolutely delicious, and I don't doubt I'll be pleased with them.  After looking through the booklet Andrea sent me, I made a list of things I MUST buy...so she'll be getting some sales from me!  I hope after reading this, you're intrigued enough to contact her to also try Perfectly Posh out!

Some fun facts about Perfectly Posh - Cruelty free, No petroleum ingredients, and MADE IN THE USA.  Their products are nutrient-rich and all have fun names!!  In the back of the booklet is a breakdown of each product and what it's made with.

The prices aren't bad.  Actually, they're comparable to any other specialty store.  For instance, the sale in this booklet has buy 5 get the 6th for free (except lip balm).  All items are less than $25.  There is shampoo, conditioner, lip products, bath products, specialty products, products you would never think existed.

Andrea is just starting out with direct sales, so please check out her website (and blog):
www.perfectlyposh.com/preppyposh
preppymomm@gmail.com
(563) 209-2060

Tell her Alicia sent you!  Think about ordering, and/or having an online party!  If you love it that much, maybe you and Andrea can join forces and work as a team and both sell Perfectly Posh?!  For now, I'll just spend my money and buy it!!!

Review: Facial Blotting Paper (Day by Day Beauty)

***This post contains affiliate links***

I was given the chance to receive a pack of blotting papers from Day by Day Beauty in exchange for my honest review.  These thoughts are my own!

I hate a shiny face.  I've said it on my Amazon reviews, and I'm saying it here.  I hate when my face and forehead look super shiny.  On my face the shine doesn't look oily, it just looks shiny, so I thought it was just my pressed powder fading away.  Well, after using these blotting papers, I now see my face is an oil slick!  Gross.

See the grossness?
These are actually really good.  It's a good value, because it comes in a 2 pack.  I kept a pack and gave a pack to Jayda (my daughter).  Each box has 100 papers, which are thinner than tissue paper. They are made of natural pulp fiber that absorbs the yucky oil, and won't smudge any of the makeup. As you can see the picture above, none of my makeup is on that sheet!

Thinner than tissue paper!
These are actually a really good value, too.  Each pack has 100 sheets times 2 packs = 200 blotting papers!  If you shop other brands you'll notice they normally come in packs of 50.  And the price is a bit more for half the package!  You should probably check Day by Day out yourself: click here  I'll definitely keep this in my purse at all times...even when this pack runs out!!

Review: SupremePURE Forskolin Extract 250mg

***This post contains affiliate links***

Forskolin.  What is it?  The scientific definition is it's a perennial herb in the genus of mint. Hmm...that doesn't tell me much.  Digging deeper - Forskolin is a chemical found in the roots of an herbal plant in the mint family, and it can help to promote the breakdown of stored fats in animal and human fat cells.  It's been used since ancient times to treat heart disorders (lowers blood pressure), and also asthma.  Forskolin can also be used to treat allergies, skin conditions, painful periods, IBS, UTI's, late stage cancer, insomnia and ED.

The Forskolin that was sent to me by SupremePURE is for weight loss, though.

After I had my third child in 2013 I've been struggling to lose the weight.  Even going to the gym five days a week I couldn't lose the weight I wanted to!  Then I heard the commercials for these new all natural miracle pills....and Dr. Oz promotes them, so they can't be bad, right?

These SupremePURE Forskolin capsules are all natural veggie caps.  There are no fillers, no binders, no stimulants, and no artificial ingredients.  These are gluten free, vegan friendly, lactose and celiac tolerant.  ANYONE CAN TAKE THESE!

As you can see, the capsules are on the bigger average size, and they have gotten stuck in my throat more than once.  If you take these, you definitely need a big glass of whatever you drink.  I took these alone at first with no adverse reaction, and then I ended up pairing it with Garcinia Cambogia.  Again, no adverse reaction.  I had no reaction at all, so it was like I took nothing.  My appetite wasn't as voracious, but I still ate like crap.  I have not lost any weight, but I have not gained, either, and that's a good thing because I eat about 15 Oreo's every night before bed.  I think if I would follow a good diet and exercised every so often, these would definitely help me lose weight.  No question about it.  I have noticed I feel fantastic, though.  I have energy, my mood is good, and I'm sleeping very well (except for when the baby wakes me up, which is always around 2am).  I can't help but wonder if my skin is clearing up because I've been taking the Forskolin?

I think if you're interested in losing weight and haven't been able to, trying Forskolin is worth it.  You can check it out on Amazon right here.
