I'm a hoarder

So I'm convinced I'm a hoarder.  It's not dangerous (yet) because it's not really affecting anyone except me, but I am running out of storage space.  You see, I'm a makeup hoarder.  I have Urban Decay shadow palettes, Coastal Scents shadow palettes, every Bath & Body Works lotion and spray that is out right now, and probably over 100 lippies.  That list doesn't include all of my makeup brushes, BB creams, face masks, hair products... well you get the point!

My Bath & Body Works collection (partial)
The problem is, I don't use any of these.  I have them, I look at them, and I continue to use my same old stuff for fear of ruining the perfectly new palette/product, or eventually running out.  Actually, I'm not really sure why I don't use any of them.  I want to, I plan to, and then when it comes time to do my makeup, I chicken out and reach for the tried and true, same old same old.

This is an issue, right?  I mean, I should use the stuff I have...I should love it, play with it, create new looks, yes?  Here are some examples of pallets I haven't had the heart to dig into yet:

Urban Decay "Smoked" pallet with primer, Subversion & Perversion mascaras, with a love note from my bestie

Urban Decay "Ammo" pallet - BEAUTIFUL!!

Not only do I have these gorgeous pallets, but I am subscribed to TEN monthly subscriptions (my referral links are listed to the right), so I get MORE makeup to fall in love with... and never use!  And then my lippies!!!  I carry about 10-15 different ones in my purse:
Just a few lippies that I carry with me...

I think it's time for an intervention!  It's time for me to finally start using my new stuff.  Maybe I'll throw away the ones I depend on, so I'm forced to use these beauties!  I ended up giving my daughter a bunch of stuff so I would stop using it... I think it's time to do it again!

What do you think?????

Thinking...

***This blog contains affiliate links***

For the past 2 weeks I've been trying to think about what I want to write and how I want to write it.  I think of really awesome things in my head.  I get to the computer - instant brain fart.  No clue what I was going to say, how I was going to say it, NOTHING.  So now here I am, at work (lunch break, don't worry boss), browsing Tomoson and Listia, applying for more products and trying to think of a way to keep myself organized for the ones I have so I don't miss a review.  You see, this stuff really isn't free.  It's free in the sense that I'm not paying for it, or paying much for it.  The max I'll pay is $5 (and that's even pushing it), and I will NOT pay shipping.  But anyway, in order to get these awesome things (I call it happy mail day) I have to promote the product, the company, and/or review it on Amazon (or similar site) and blog about it (hence the reason I now have a blog).

I swear, my postman must hate me.  I did buy him a Christmas present to make up for the amount of mail he has to bring to my house.  I think the UPS guy will be my next enemy.  He's been at my house every day this week.  But anyway...

After I post these pictures on my Facebook (and I know I'm pissing people off - I apologize - I need to do this in order to stay on the "good list") I've been getting the response of "teach me" or "how do you get all this free stuff?"

Well buckle up and get ready for the ride!  I'm getting instructions and a list together of how I started and what I continue to do to make every day a HAPPY MAIL DAY!  There is so much more I could be doing...trying to figure out how to manage my time between my new ADDICTION and my 3 children and my job... that's a bit of a challenge for me :(

Stay tuned!!!

I still have no idea how to make this blog cool...

Phew this Tomoson thing is soooo time consuming and sooooo much fun!  I have been applying for every type of product that is interesting to me and I am so excited to start using and reviewing them.  I have a large family (myself, fiance and 3 children) and we are all so different... I think I can truly give great feedback for everything I try!!  I also changed the name of my blog - since this will be about so many different things - not just beauty items!!!
