Perfectly Posh

Have you heard of Perfectly Posh?

It was new to me until I received a nice little package in the mail from Andrea Fleming, owner of Preppy Mom's Wanderings blog (click here), and sales consultant for Perfectly Posh.  She sent me samples of "The Stripper detox body mud," "Shine Bright Like a Diamond microderm scrub," "Mango Marshmallow Body Butter," and "The It Girl hand cream."  Oh, and the Perfectly Posh magazine.

Last night I used "Shine Bright Like a Diamond" on my face and "Mango Marshmallow" on my super dry back. Oh my goodness - this stuff is amazing!!!

The Shine Bright Like a Diamond has a thin, clear consistency with little beads of goodness. It feels fabulous when you scrub it on, and rinses clear off.  I hate when I use a cleanser and I feel grimy after.  This is absolute perfection.

The Mango Madness body butter is thick, but not over thick.  A little of this stuff goes a long way! My back was instantly moisturized (it was feeling itchy, and the itchiness vanished!)

I haven't had a chance to use The Stripper detox body mud or The It Girl hand cream, but both smell absolutely delicious, and I don't doubt I'll be pleased with them.  After looking through the booklet Andrea sent me, I made a list of things I MUST buy...so she'll be getting some sales from me!  I hope after reading this, you're intrigued enough to contact her to also try Perfectly Posh out!

Some fun facts about Perfectly Posh - Cruelty free, No petroleum ingredients, and MADE IN THE USA.  Their products are nutrient-rich and all have fun names!!  In the back of the booklet is a breakdown of each product and what it's made with.

The prices aren't bad.  Actually, they're comparable to any other specialty store.  For instance, the sale in this booklet has buy 5 get the 6th for free (except lip balm).  All items are less than $25.  There is shampoo, conditioner, lip products, bath products, specialty products, products you would never think existed.

Andrea is just starting out with direct sales, so please check out her website (and blog):

Tell her Alicia sent you!  Think about ordering, and/or having an online party!  If you love it that much, maybe you and Andrea can join forces and work as a team and both sell Perfectly Posh?!  For now, I'll just spend my money and buy it!!!

Review: Facial Blotting Paper (Day by Day Beauty)

***This post contains affiliate links***

I was given the chance to receive a pack of blotting papers from Day by Day Beauty in exchange for my honest review.  These thoughts are my own!

I hate a shiny face.  I've said it on my Amazon reviews, and I'm saying it here.  I hate when my face and forehead look super shiny.  On my face the shine doesn't look oily, it just looks shiny, so I thought it was just my pressed powder fading away.  Well, after using these blotting papers, I now see my face is an oil slick!  Gross.

See the grossness?
These are actually really good.  It's a good value, because it comes in a 2 pack.  I kept a pack and gave a pack to Jayda (my daughter).  Each box has 100 papers, which are thinner than tissue paper. They are made of natural pulp fiber that absorbs the yucky oil, and won't smudge any of the makeup. As you can see the picture above, none of my makeup is on that sheet!

Thinner than tissue paper!
These are actually a really good value, too.  Each pack has 100 sheets times 2 packs = 200 blotting papers!  If you shop other brands you'll notice they normally come in packs of 50.  And the price is a bit more for half the package!  You should probably check Day by Day out yourself: click here  I'll definitely keep this in my purse at all times...even when this pack runs out!!

Review: SupremePURE Forskolin Extract 250mg

***This post contains affiliate links***

Forskolin.  What is it?  The scientific definition is it's a perennial herb in the genus of mint. Hmm...that doesn't tell me much.  Digging deeper - Forskolin is a chemical found in the roots of an herbal plant in the mint family, and it can help to promote the breakdown of stored fats in animal and human fat cells.  It's been used since ancient times to treat heart disorders (lowers blood pressure), and also asthma.  Forskolin can also be used to treat allergies, skin conditions, painful periods, IBS, UTI's, late stage cancer, insomnia and ED.

The Forskolin that was sent to me by SupremePURE is for weight loss, though.

After I had my third child in 2013 I've been struggling to lose the weight.  Even going to the gym five days a week I couldn't lose the weight I wanted to!  Then I heard the commercials for these new all natural miracle pills....and Dr. Oz promotes them, so they can't be bad, right?

These SupremePURE Forskolin capsules are all natural veggie caps.  There are no fillers, no binders, no stimulants, and no artificial ingredients.  These are gluten free, vegan friendly, lactose and celiac tolerant.  ANYONE CAN TAKE THESE!

As you can see, the capsules are on the bigger average size, and they have gotten stuck in my throat more than once.  If you take these, you definitely need a big glass of whatever you drink.  I took these alone at first with no adverse reaction, and then I ended up pairing it with Garcinia Cambogia.  Again, no adverse reaction.  I had no reaction at all, so it was like I took nothing.  My appetite wasn't as voracious, but I still ate like crap.  I have not lost any weight, but I have not gained, either, and that's a good thing because I eat about 15 Oreo's every night before bed.  I think if I would follow a good diet and exercised every so often, these would definitely help me lose weight.  No question about it.  I have noticed I feel fantastic, though.  I have energy, my mood is good, and I'm sleeping very well (except for when the baby wakes me up, which is always around 2am).  I can't help but wonder if my skin is clearing up because I've been taking the Forskolin?

I think if you're interested in losing weight and haven't been able to, trying Forskolin is worth it.  You can check it out on Amazon right here.

Review: Even Glow Serum (Valentia Skin Care)

***This post contains affiliate links***

I was never one to use serums until I became a reviewer.  It seems the majority of beauty products being offered for review are some kind of serum.  I'm actually very thankful for the chance to review this Even Glow Serum by Valentia Skin Care because I never realized how beneficial Vitamin C serum was until I started using it and researched it!

The Even Glow Serum (20% Vitamin C) comes in an average bottle - 1.18 fluid ounces, and it smells great.  Actually, it smells like oranges.  At first I only used this at night, but not every night because I received an email from Valentia saying the vitamin C can make your skin break out at first, then as your skin gets used to it, your skin will actually totally clear up.  Luckily I didn't experience any of the breakouts, and I use the serum every morning and every night as part of my super long skincare routine.

You have to keep the bottle in a cool, dark place, but the shelf life is greater than a year.  The serum itself is a thicker, whitish liquid and you only need a little bit for full coverage.  It absorbs fairly quickly, too!

I wish I took before pictures, because just the other day I noticed my dark spots on my face have pretty much disappeared, and my face looks brighter, my skin feels softer!

Not only does the Even Glow Serum have 20% vitamin C, but it also contains Rosehip Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Organic Sea Buckthorn Oil, Green Tea Extract and Resistem (which are Plant Stem Cells).

I am a true believer now and will always include Even Glow Serum as part of my skincare regimen. You can buy it on Amazon right here.

Giveaway: Life & Food Garcinia Cambogia Supreme 80% HCA

Review: Life & Food Garcinia Cambogia Supreme 80% HCA (plus giveaway)

***Contains affiliate links***

I've heard nothing but great things about this new diet pill Garcinia Cambogia. I remember where I first heard about it - I was driving in my car and the DJ was talking about it on the radio. I guess Beyonce and other stars used it to lose weight. When I did my online research on Dr. Google (LOL) I became obsessed and needed to try it. Ever since I had my 3rd child my weight has been stubborn and I haven't been able to get down to my pre-pregnancy size. I was SO EXCITED when I was offered the Life & Food Garcinia Cambogia Supreme 80% HCA in exchange for my review! And you can get a bottle, too, because I'm doing a giveaway!

As you can see the pills are on the bigger side, but they're in a gelcap so they go down kinda easy. Just make sure you take it with enough liquid because they will get caught in your throat, and well, that's never fun.  Life & Food gives you a pretty big bottle, and with 180 capsules, taking 4 per day, the bottle will last about 45 days.  4 per day is the max dose, so if you cut it in half you get about 3 months out of this bottle!
Pills are on the bigger side

Big bottle!!!
It seems these capsules are gluten free and vegan friendly - no fillers, no soy, no wheat, eggs, fish or stimulants.  I had no adverse reactions to taking these.  Sometimes diet pills can give you cramps or headaches, but I honestly felt nothing from taking these.  I am not as hungry, so I don't eat as much junk.  I haven't lost any weight...but I also haven't gained.  I haven't been following a healthy diet, either, though, so I would say these pills are a success (considering I eat almost a whole pack of Oreos with milk before bed every night!)
Nutrition Facts
Garcinia Cambogia is supposed to elevate the Serotonin levels in your brain...I'm not 100% sure if it does, but I do feel generally happy.  I definitely recomment these Life & Food Garcinia Cambogia to anyone looking for a healthy, all natural way to lose weight!!

For more information check out the Life & Food websiteclick here!

And now for the giveaway... stay tuned!  I have the giveaway as a whole separate post, but it doesn't work for everyone.  If you're interested in trying to win a bottle of this fantastic supplement and the widget won't work for you, please let me know and I'll manually add you!

Review: Adeline Hyaluronic Acid Serum

***This post contains affiliate links***

Well, it's my very first review!  I couldn't have picked a better product if I tried.  I received Adeline Hyaluronic Acid Serum for free for my honest review.  Prior to receiving this, I never used any kind of serum.  I knew at my age I probably should have been using products like this at least for the past three years, if not more.  I guess I was in denial about my forehead full of lines.

The first thing I noticed about this product was the size.  It's a fairly large amount that will last a really long time because you only need to use a pump or two for your whole face, neck and decolletage area.  The next thing I noticed was the consistency.  The serum is very thin and viscous.  Like I said earlier, a little goes a really long way, and I learned that the hard way!  Even with me using way too much it still absorbed into my skin very quickly - quicker than I could have imagined!

When I first started using the Adeline Hyaluronic Serum my skin felt super tight and really dry.  I've been using it for a few weeks now and my skin has gotten used to it.  My face feels super soft, not shiny and my tone is evened out.  I never even knew I had uneven tone until I saw it evening out!  Ha!  I don't think I've been using the serum long enough for my fine lines to go away, but my fiance has noticed them filling up, or in his words "your forehead doesn't look as line-y."  Well, thanks Nick.

The serum comes in a 2 oz bottle with an airless pump.  I like this design because as you use the product, the bottom pushes up so the chance of wasting any is slim.  There's all sorts of good ingredients in it, too, like Retinol, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Witch Hazel, Aloe and of course Hyaluronic Acid.

I'm excited to keep using this to see if my wrinkly forehead will fade!  For now I'll enjoy my new even, soft skin!  If you're interested in looking into this, check out Amazon's product page for Adeline Hyaluronic Acid Serum.
